(Asheville, NC) The Blue Ridge Parkway will implement a closure from Wagon Road Gap at Milepost 412 to Graveyard Fields Parking Overlook at Milepost 418 on Monday, August 23rd through Thursday, August 26, 2010, to conduct storm debris removal and hazardous tree work. The closure will be in effect Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Mount Pisgah will be accessible from the South via U.S. Route 276. Visitors traveling to Mount Pisgah from Asheville will not be affected.

Additional tree removal activities are being conducted near Deep Gap at Milepost 275 to Yadkin Valley Parking Overlook at Milepost 290 utilizing traffic control. Parkway visitors should expect minor delays through this area.
