8th Annual Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition Organizers Announce Award Winners
Organizers of the Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition today announced the winners of the 8th annual competition. Joe Young and his image Eustace entered in the Culture Category took top honors receiving the designation of Best in Show. Joe will take home a cash award of $1000 furnished through competition proceeds.
Scott Hotaling’s image Bull Elk at Dawn is the public’s pick in this year’s People’s Choice Award and will receive $350 furnished by Footsloggers Outdoor and Travel Outfitters. More than 2,746 votes were cast in this year’s People’s Choice Award.
Category Winners acknowledge the top image in each of the seven competition categories. Winners of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Our Environmental Footprint categories will receive cash awards furnished by the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and Appalachian Voices. The remaining category winners receive Mast General Store prize packages.
