Blue Ridge Parkway Accommodations

|
The Blue Ridge Parkway offers many opportunities for overnight visitors. On-parkway facilities include campgrounds, cabins and lodges. Most of these are primitive and true to the culture of the Appalachian Mountain region. Off-parkway facilities include the traditional hotels & motels, as well as quaint little bed & breakfasts, private cabins, RV parks and luxury resorts.
When you plan your trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway, remember to book early! Visitors are encouraged, even urged to place lodging reservations early to ensure accommodations of their choice, particularly during the summer and holiday periods, when lodging is at a premium. Select a few alternatives in case your first selection has already booked.
Note :: one exception to booking early are the on-parkway campgrounds. Most of the on-parkway camping sites are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visitors planning to camp are urged to be prepared to find off-parkway accommodations should campgrounds fill up. It is also important to remember to obey Parkway rules & regulations and camp ONLY in designated areas. |
