Overlook Description
An event occurred near Bull Run Knob during the French and Indian War in 1756. Native American's heard that a Colonel would be traveling through the area on an inspection tour of the forts. The leader of the Indian ambush told them to fire upon the Colonel and company who would be traveling northward. Only a guide and a servant accompanied the Colonel. However, the Colonel George Washington, passed through the area traveling southward and was not harmed.
