Floyd Contra Dance - Blue Ridge Country Dancers

Blue Ridge Country Dancers host community contra dances every second Saturday at Winter Sun Theater, downtown Floyd. Contra dance evolved from traditional roots (Virginia Reel) into what is now a lively mix of music styles and dance figures for all ages. The event is held in an historic sewing factory building with a wooden floor that's perfect for dancing.
Dance 8-11 PM; beginner lesson 7:30. Casual. Wear soft flexible shoes for dancing; callers teach each dance. Location Information Milepost: 165
