Fall Bird Migration
Sep 30, 2008
Jackson Park in Hendersonville is known as a “migrant trap”, where songbirds appear in high concentrations, finding cover and resting briefly during their journey south. We can expect to see large numbers of tanagers, thrushes, and sparrows and a good diversity of warblers. We will also discuss some the difficulties of identifying birds during this time of year. Bring your binoculars and field guides if you have them, plenty of water, and a snack to carry you through.
