Botanical Walk: Snowball Trail

The walk begins at Snowball Gap and traverses Snowball Mountain and Hawkbill Rock. This walk features excellent quality Northern Hardwoods and High Elevation Red Oak Forests with a great diversity of fall flowering herbs and a spectacular view from a rock outcrop. This will be a great chance for participants to practice their plant identification skills or just go on a nice hike. The hike is five miles in length, round trip, and very rugged and steep in places. Come prepared with lunch and rain gear. Location Information Milepost: 383
