Wildflowers of the Blue Ridge Parkway - Sundrop

General Description

Sundrop (oenothera fruticosa) has four-petaled, cup-shaped flowers that appear in profuse clusters with blossoms usually appearing yellow in color. Sundrop can survive cold winters but still needs hot summers days with full sun and well drained soil. It often reaches heights of 6-8 inches.
