General Description
Spiraca is a multi-stemmed deciduous erect shrub that can grow 2-6 feet in height with a similar spread. It has reddish-brown slender stems that may be hairy or glabrous. The leaves have toothed margins, wedge-shaped bases, and pointed tips. The color of the leaves can vary from blue-green to bronze, orange, red, or burgundy, depending on variety and season. Pink flowers are displayed at the tips of the wiry branches in flat-topped clusters. The Spiraca is especially cold-tolerant and can bear colorful flowers all summer.

Uses
Spiraca is commonly cultivated for landscaping usage, including hedges, low screens, or foundation shrubs. Low-growing forms are also used as groundcovers or in borders.
