General Description
Fringed Phacelia grows in rich woods along streams in the mountains. It reaches heights of 8-16 inches and has little hairs that stand straight out on the weak stem. Its leaves are generally white with broad lobes, cut into 5-9 unequal blunt-tipped segments, about 2 inches long. The lower leaves are stalked while the upper leaves remain unstalked. Fringed Phacelia blooms from May through June with white to pale lilar colors. The flowers are about 1/2 inch wide and have a bell-shaped corolla with five spreading fringed lobes.
