The Appalachian Trail runs right through the town of Hot Springs, NC

Location: Off Parkway in Hot Springs, NC.
Sign: On its wild, mountain crest route between Georgia and Maine the Appalachian Trail passes through the town of Hot Springs as it crosses the French Broad River. Hot Springs is a favorite rest stop of A.T. hikers. The A.T. is managed and maintained here by the volunteers of the Carolina Mountain Club, The Appalachian Trail Conference and The USDA Forest Service.
