Spring 2002 Summer 2002 Fall 2002 Fall 2002

April

October

The winter is still an enjoyable time on the Parkway. The colorful leaves and flowers are gone but there is still a distinct beauty to the Parkway. It can be cold but hiking a trail in the winter allows you to see much more than during the summer when leaves block many of the splendid views. The winter snows are gorgeous, covering the trees and landscapes in a white blanket.

The spring brings out vibrant new colors to the landscape. Springtime on the Parkway is wonderful with all the new flowers, new blooms on the trees, and the cool fresh air that is enjoyed with every breath.

The summer is filled with warm sunshine and deep greens on all of the trees. The rhododendrons' pink blooms are abundant along with many other flowers and plants that bloom in the summertime.

The fall on the Parkway is magnificent with vivid colors everywhere you look. The colors take over the mountainsides and you want to get your camera out and start snapping photos. We hope you will have an opportunity to travel, hike and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway this fall!

All seasons on the Blue Ridge Parkway are great and worth getting out and exploring!
