E.B. Jeffress Park is a beautiful area to sit and enjoy the views, take in a short hike to the lively Cascades and have a picnic. The nature trail to the Cascades leads from the parking area and is a half-mile long. The trail is a loop and is a moderate hiking trail. There are signs on the trail that describe the trees and plants along the way. Falls Creek easily glides along near parts of the trail until it reaches the quick decent down the Cascades. E.B. Jeffress Park is in honor of the man who worked successfully to convince the federal government to position the Blue Ridge Parkway on its current location. E.B. Jeffress Park provides a drinking fountain, picnic tables, restrooms and the Cascades Nature Trail.
