Blue Ridge Parkway Calendar of Events

The Blue Ridge Parkway invites families to celebrate the vibrant fall season with traditional music, crafts, trail exploration, and a special book launch at the beautiful new Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center. This day of free events will be highlighted by the launch of the new coffee table collectible book, Blue Ridge Parkway, Simply Beautiful, a photographic visit to the Parkway with 159 distinctive images from photography team Pat and Chuck Blackley. Published by Farcountry Press, the text for the book was written by Cara Ellen Modisett. Throughout the day, the dramatic high definition movie produced exclusively for this Visitor Center, The Blue Ridge Parkway: America’s Favorite Journey, will be shown on the half-hour. Bar-b-que and all the trimmings will be for sale from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
