Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker
Nov 28, 2007
The world-renowned Moscow Ballet will celebrate its 15th anniversary by performing its Great Russian Nutcracker in over 70 cities this holiday season. Its all-Russian cast, famous for spectacular scenic design by Valentin Fedorov, and exquisite dancing and choreography by Artistic Director Anatoli Emelionov, makes this the must-see production of 2007.
Emelianov's Nutcracker is praised by critics and beloved by audiences for its unique portrayal of the Land of Peace and Harmony in Act II. To convey his message of peace, Emelianov uses an ethereal dove that leads Masha and the Nutcracker Prince to a land free of war and suffering, where all creatures live in harmony.
Time :: 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm Cost :: $25.00 - $65.00 Location :: Asheville Civic Center 87 Haywood Street Asheville, NC 28801
