Get In, Jesus
Nov 08, 2007
Renowned Appalachian poet, playwright, and essayist, Jim Webb, has a voice widely known in the mountains for his work, writings, and activism at Appalshop's community radio station, WMMT. His book Get In, Jesus, is "a collection of poetry, satirical essays, musings and whatnots" making its debut in 2008.
Jim is coming to Boone to read his poetry and talk about his writing process and why he writes. To quote Jim, much of his writing is about "environmental desecration, greed heads, and everyday flubby dubbies. Occasionally there's a bit of humor involved."
