Founded in 1949, Mystery Hill has been enjoyed by many generations for years. You will appear “larger than life” on the Mystery Platform. After that, you can see water flow uphill, a ball roll uphill, and gravity defied in the gravitational vortex, also called the Mystery House. Then experience the optical illusions and fun stuff in the Hall of Mystery.
Included in your ticket is admission to the Heritage and Artifact Museum. There are over 50,000 Native American artifacts on display on the lower level and on the upper level the actual home of the founder of Appalachian State University, restored to early 1900s decor.
Professor Finnegan’s™ Old-Time Photos is located in the gift shop to capture your visit. You can step back into the old west or the Roarin’ 20’s. Conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock, NC, Mystery Hill is great for all ages!
Note: Construction occurs on 321 between Lenoir and Blowing Rock on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from noon–2:00 pm. Allow for delays and detours.
